GIOTTO: LED STREET LIGHTING SYSTEM AND URBAN FURNISHINGS
Giotto is a LED based street lighting system for outdoor environments. The innovative design combines aesthetic concepts with simple and organic shapes with configurable optical elements and advanced electronics for control and monitoring of the appliance. The system is composed by a single set that includes pole, bracket and armature without a solution of continuity . There are two versions available: a version with single armature and a version with a double one, and a height range that varies between 4 and 8 meters. TECHNICAL FEATURES LED and OPTICS Giotto’s illuminating body is formed by modular parts with high performance 24 LED OSRAM with 1.2W power for a total of 30W.

A 5600K colour temperature and a chromatic yield of 80 guarantee excellent visual comfort for the lighting level as required by the standards. The LED integrates 120° x 80° primary optics that can be modified in 120° x 40° for each LED with suitable white or chromate version reflectors. The photometry can be furtherly customised by assembling LEDS differently inclined on a horizontal plane. A range of configurations with roto-symmetric or asymmetric street diagrams that can be customised are available according to the photometric performances required by each particular application.

The product does not disperse light upward thanks to the optimization of the visible radiation towards the ground, allows full compliance with light pollution standards.

Less ordinary maintenance is guaranteed with a duration of the sources that exceeds 70.000 hours.

MECHANICS

The illuminating body is made with a pressed aluminium part of support and a heat sink for the LEDS.
The polycarbonate protective shield, with anti-UV and IK 10 treatment assures perfect sealing of the appliance (IP66).
Stainless steel screws and bolts are used to fix the parts of the system together.

Vertical supports with double coupled pole and fitting collectors are available in two versions: EN-AW 6060 alloy extruded aluminium or S275JR welded with ERW technique, without any visible welding underbeads or joints, subsequently hot-rolled. Painted with thermosetting powders.

ELETTRONICS AND REMOTE CONTROL

System electronics have been designed to guarantee total control of appliance operation. Each illuminating module includes a special microprocessor for light flux adjustment and monitoring of source conditions. The remote control of the appliance is made with IEEE wireless 802.15.4 net or waves conveyed on the electrical network.

The system is locally controlled by a unit connected to the GSM net. Programming and monitoring are performed from a workstation of the control centre, where date and time of the luminous flux can be programmed for each appliance and where any system anomaly can be graphically checked .
